Kathy Buehler
Kathy Buehler holds a B.A. degree in Piano Pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University. Her studies include classical training at Meredith College in North Carolina and Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. Her jazz studies were taken at DePaul University, University of Illinois, and private study with Alan Swain.
She has served as an adjudicator for local and national competitions. She is a composer and has been a professional pianist in the Chicago and North Carolina areas for over 25 years. She has taught in public and private schools in the Chicago and Wisconsin areas. Currently a member of CAMTA, ISMTA, and Illinois Music Association.
She loves the piano, teaching, and she hopes to strengthen all students’ musical skills, enrich their lives through music, develop a genuine appreciation for music, and incorporate creativity and music literacy into everyone’s education.
