Prize-winning Violist, Violinist and Singer, Sarah Michelle Greene, is a 2014 graduate of the prestigious Eastman School of Music and 2017 graduate of the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. While living in Los Angeles, Sarah found herself in demand by top artists performing and recording with them in venues such as The LA Forum, The Hollywood Palladium, Disney Concert Hall, Paramount Studios, and Universal Music Publishing Group. In 2016, Sarah won the audition for Lincoln Center Stage and since January 2017 has been touring as a Violist with the Lincoln Center Stage Piano Quintet “Quintet La Mer” aboard the Holland America Cruise Line- performing over 700 concerts of chamber music repertoire. Sarah also performs as violinist, violist and vocalist as a member of her professional family chamber ensemble, “The Five Greenes”, the award-winning ensemble Sheridan Solisti, and she has been an invited Guest Artist of the Lake George Music Festival and The Vermont Mozart Festival. In New York City, she has performed in numerous concerts and recording sessions with ensembles such as the 8-Bit Big Band and the Modus Opera Orchestra. She has performed in numerous professional symphony orchestras including the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Juneau Symphony Orchestra, the Highland Park Strings and the Northbrook Symphony Orchestra, of which she is currently a regular member.
As a Soloist, Ms. Greene has appeared in many top concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, Preston Bradley Hall in the Chicago Cultural Center, Ravinia’s Bennet Gordon Hall, and Kosciusko Foundation Auditorium in New York City. Sarah’s concert, radio and television studio recording credits include: performance and appearance on Season 6 Finale of Fox TV show “Glee” in the “Glee Band”; the ABC TV show “The Fosters”; FX TV Show “Fargo”; MTV Movie Awards with pop-singer, Halsey; ABC’s Disneyland 60th Anniversary TV Special with Idina Menzel; and Chamber Music performance with Sheridan Solisti on Chicago “Live from WFMT” program hosted by Kerry Frumkin, which won the 2nd Prize for Chamber Music in the American Prize Competition, Professional Division.
Sarah is a First Prize Winner of the College/Professional Division of the 2012 American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition (at age 19, the youngest 1st Prize Winner in the Professional Category) and made her Carnegie Recital Hall Debut in May 2012. Sarah has also won top prizes in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Youth Auditions, North Suburban Symphony Young Musicians Competition, the Barry Alexander International Voice Competition, the Walgreen’s National Concerto Competition, the Bel Canto Foundation Italian Opera Competition and more.
