How do I schedule an appointment to look at pianos?
You can easily book a sales appointment online!
If you have any questions about anything beforehand, give us a quick call, send an email, or start a chat!
If it’s your first time in, do check out our buying guides on our blog!
What pianos do you currently have in your showroom?
Visit our online store to see all our remaining and in-stock pianos for sale.
Being that we’re going out of business, we aren’t taking in any more pianos, and we aren’t restocking any new pianos either.
So if you see one you like, book an appointment to come play it before it’s snatched up from under you!
How do I set an appointment to have my piano tuned or serviced?
As part of our going out of business, we are no longer available for in-home tuning/service appointments.
That said, we many of our technicians are now at Piano Pro Services under the management of Holly Frederichs. If you’re looking for piano tuning or service in northern Chicagoland, we wholeheartedly recommend them!
Do you buy or take in used pianos?
We are no longer accepting any pianos on consignment or donation.
There are very limited exceptions for trade-in customers. Given we’re going out of business, it’s not something we can offer in the majority of cases.

Do you offer music lessons?
Family Piano closed its School of Music in 2020. Since then, we have not offered music lessons ourselves.
If you’d like to sign up for music lessons in Waukegan IL, we recommend the Arize Beyond School of Music!
They’re open at 118 S Genesee St — the same space ours was in before, right next to our Waukegan store.
