Job Listing for Sales Professional
Company Background
Family Piano Co., a leading provider of high-quality piano sales and service in the Chicagoland area, is seeking a dedicated and talented Sales Professional to join our team.
We pride ourselves on making pianos accessible to everyone and providing exceptional customer service in a friendly and pressure-free environment.
We have two stores – one in downtown Waukegan and one at Golf Mill Mall in Niles. Both locations are open every day of the week, 12:00 to 6:00.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting the ideal piano for their needs, while providing a pressure-free and educational sales experience
- Write captivating product descriptions, blog posts, and other content to promote our products and services
- Provide excellent customer service and support for out-of-state customers, including coordinating logistics and shipments
- Work primarily in our Waukegan location, but be flexible to work at our Niles as required.
- Utilize your tech-savviness and problem-solving skills to create flexible solutions for customers
Requirements
- Be available to consistently work weekends – this is non-negotiable. (We can cover you for vacations and whatnot, though!)
- Ability to play the piano at an intermediate or advanced level, to demonstrate nuanced aspects of different pianos
- Tech-savvy and able to adapt to new technology and software
- Long-term commitment to Family Piano Co. and the growth of our business
- Eagerness to work in a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the company
Bonus Points for
- Sales experience is a plus, but an exceptional sales personality is a must
- Fluently bilingual in any language other than English is a plus
- Excellent written communication skills for content creation
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as delivering and setting up digital pianos or moving pianos around
- Ability to produce engaging YouTube content to showcase our pianos and share your musical expertise

Pay Range
We’re not going to BS you with inflated numbers – based on current sales levels, we imagine you’d be taking home between $40,000 to $60,000 per year, between the base pay and commission. We want your help in growing our company (and your take-home pay!)
