I’m excited to announce that our Waukegan store, which has been a beloved part of the Chicagoland community since its opening in 2006, is ready to welcome you back with open arms!

Over the last few months, our Waukegan store has been open by Appointments Only as we underwent a little remodeling to provide you with the best piano-shopping experience possible.

I am thrilled to share that starting May 1st, the Waukegan store will be open 7 days a week, from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, just like our Golf Mill Mall location in Niles!

From May 1st through June 3rd, you’ll have the opportunity to enter our raffle to win a magnificent Grand Player Piano Lego Set when you visit our Waukegan store during business hours!

It even plays itself using Bluetooth! How cool is that?

Coming Soon: New School of Music 

As of May 1st, the Family Piano Co School of Music space at 118 S Genesee is no longer ours – it is now leased by our new friend Yolanda Brooks and her company, Arize Beyond Productions LLC.

It’s been Yolanda’s dream for years to open up her own School of Music. She’s a talented musician and teaches entrepreneurship at CLC and is the perfect person to build an even better School of Music than what we were ever able to do.

She’s also taking over the Riverside Room and has some wonderful ambitions for hosting recitals and concerts there!

We’ll be providing more details in the lead up to her Ribbon Cutting on June 24th, but if you have questions, you can email her directly at [email protected].

This is all to say – you cannot enter Family Piano Co from the School of Music door at 118 S Genesee any more. You can enter from our free parking lot on County St or our building’s more generic Genesee St Entrance between Greentown Tavern and Dinosaur Studio Tattoo.
